 Bhalod Datta Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Dattatreya and located in Rundh, Gujarat.

This mandir is an important place of worship for the devotees who do the Narmada Parikrama. 

The idol of lord dattatreya is unifacial unlike the regular 3 faces idol mostly everywhere.

This temple is must visit worship place for devotees doing Uttarvahini Narmada Parikrama. Great saint Shree Tembe Swami maharaj had been visiting this place during his chaturmas. This temple also has a temple dedicated to Shree Tembe Swami maharaj.

Lots of Lord Dattatreya followers aim to do Narmada Parikrama during the Chaitra month. Especially the Chaitra navratri period is considered to be the most auspicious period. This year the Chaitra month is 10th april to 9th May 2024. Group Pilgrimage tours are done over the period of 4-5 days.

There are many ways to reach Bhalod Datta Mandir from Mumbai/Thane. Nearest railway station in Vadodara (Baroda). From there you can take some public transport and/or auto to reach there. From Vadodara railway station, its around 2 hrs journey.

Those who are yet to do Uttarvahini Narmada Parikrama, can plan till 9th May 2024 or otherwise they will have to plan and wait for next year chaitra month.

Datta Mandir Girnar: A Sacred Shrine in the Foothills of Girnar Mountain

Girnar Pilgrimage - Datta Paduka - Jai Girnari

 Girnar Pilgrimage is always full of divine blessings from Lord Dattatreya. Its on top of one of the Girnar hills called Girnar Shikhar.

This is where Lord Dattatreya had done tapashcharya (meditation) for 12000 years. The Datta Paduka is on top of the shikhar (hill) which you can reach after climbing 10000 steps from ground level at Girnar Talethi. Nowadays you have ropeways from ground till Ambaji Mandir (5000 steps).

This pilgrimage is full of multiple divine temples such as Ambaji Mata Mandir at 5000 Steps, Shree Guru Gorakshnath Mandir at 6500 steps, Kamandalu Tirth at 9000 steps and there are so many other temples.

How to Travel from Mumbai/Thane to Girnar?

To reach Girnar, one can travel by train from Mumbai to Junagadh and from there they can reach Girnar. One can also take luxury buses (seating/sleeper/ac/non-ac) from Mumbai till Junagadh. One can also travel by Air from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and from there can travel by vehicle. Ahmedabad to Girnar travel could be around 6 hours, so overall 7.5 hrs travel with additional time in checking in to the airport early morning etc. do not offer it as a efficient means of travel. So it is advisable to travel either by train or luxury bus (sleeper coach preferably). Bus Travel could be roughly 15-16 hrs. Buses leaves from Grant road or so and one can board from any place on the western route like Bandra, Andheri, Boriwali etc. People from Thane can board the luxury buses from Fountain Hotel, Versova.

I personally travelled by air to Ahmedabad and from there to Junagadh in private vehicle during my first pilgrimage. In my second pilgrimage, I travelled by luxury sleeper coach bus from Fountain Hotel, Versova. I did not travel by train. However as per me travelling by sleeper coach could be a good option unless you get train bookings for Junagadh.

While climbing steps to reach to the Datta Paduka, people keep chanting Jai Girnari. Chanting Jai Girnari really infuse energy in you.

आपणास कळवण्यात आनंद होतो की सद्गुरूंच्या आशीर्वादाने स्वामी महाराजांच्या कृपेने आणि वाडा वडिलांचे पुण्याईने गेली २४ वर्षे स्वामी महाराजांची वेगवेगळ्या माध्यमातून सेवा करण्याचा योग तुमच्या सारख्या भक्तांच्या सहकार्यातून घडून येत आहे.

सध्या भक्तांच्या निवास स्थानी दत्त याग करण्यात येत आहेत.तसेच सर्व दत्त स्थानावर पण दत्त याग करण्याचे योजिले आहे.त्या प्रमाणे २३/ ११/२०१७ ला कर्दळीवनात दत्त याग करण्याचे योजिले आहे.ह्या उपक्रमात ४० भक्तांनी सहभाग घेतला आहे.

त्याच प्रमाणे गाणगापूर,कुरवपूर, पीठापुर येथे १३/१२ ते २४/१२/२०१७ दरम्यान दत्त याग देव दर्शन यात्रा आयोजित करण्याचे योजिले आहे.

#यात्रा मानधन प्रत्येकी रु.१५०००/--.

#यात्रा कालावधी १२ दिवस.

#यात्रा प्रवास रेल्वे आणि बसने असेल.

#यात्रेचा दरम्यान रेल्वे प्रवासात जमेल तसे जेवण चहा कॉफीची व्यवस्था करण्यात येईल.

# पीठापुरहून निघताना रेल्वे प्रवासात जेवणाची चहा कॉफीची व्यवस्था रेल्वेत जे मिळेल ती केली जाईल.

#ज्या कोणाला दत्त यागासाठी यजमान म्हणून बसायचे असल्यास रू.५०००/-- अधिक मानधन देऊन दत्तयाग यजमान होता येईल.

# दत्त याग देवदर्शन यात्रेमध्ये येण्यास जमत नसेल पण ह्या सोहळ्या मध्ये होणाऱ्या ब्राम्हण भोजन, यागासाठी लागणाऱ्या साहित्या साठी,अभिषेकासाठी इतर उपक्रमासाठी आर्थिक मदत करायची असल्यास वासुदेव शाश्वत अभियान या नावाने करावी.पोच पावती दिली जाईल.

#यात्रेमध्ये सहभागी होणेसाठी ८ दिवसात ५०००/-- रू. वासुदेव शाश्वत अभियान खात्यामध्ये जमा करावेत ही विनंती.

# खात्यामध्ये मानधन जमा केल्यानंतर लगेच अभियानाला कळवावे ही विनंती.

#येण्याचे नक्की असल्यास लगेच पूर्ण नाव आणि वय कळवा,रेल्वे तिकीट काढणेसाठी.

१४/१२ पंढरपूर/ तुळजापूर रात्री मुक्काम.

#१५/१२सोलापूर/ अक्कलकोट/ गाणगापूर रात्री मुक्काम.

#१६/१२ गाणगापूर दत्त याग,सर्व भक्तांकडून अभिषेक,माधुकरी,ब्राम्हण भोजन,सायंकाळी संपूर्ण गाणगापूर दर्शन,आणि पालखी सोहळा.

१७/१२ सकाळी रायचूर कडे प्रयाण दुपारी कुरवपूर रात्री मुक्काम.

१८/१२ कुरवपूर मंदिरात सर्व भक्तांकडून अभिषेक,दत्त याग,सायंकाळी पालखी सोहळा,रात्री मुक्काम.

१९/१२ सकाळी सर्व भक्ताकडून अनघा  लक्ष्मी व्रत पूजा,दुपारी महा प्रसाद घेऊन रायचूर कडे प्रयाण.वेळेत पोहचलो तर मंत्रालय दर्शन,रात्री रेल्वे प्रवास.२०/१२ शमलकोटहून पीठापुरकडे प्रयाण,रात्री मुक्काम.

२१/१२सकाळी दत्त याग,महा प्रसाद,सायंकाळी पालखी सोहळा,रात्री मुक्काम.

२२/१२ सकाळी चहा नाष्टा करून साईड सिन दर्शन,रात्रीचे जेवण करून शामालकोट कडे प्रयाण रात्री रेल्वे प्रवास.

२३/१२ रेल्वे प्रवास

२४/१२ ला पहाटे मुंबई मुक्कामी.
